The QA Engineer will support the Cargo Enhancement initiative for our client by ensuring the quality, reliability, and functional correctness of the airlines cargo technology platforms, with a primary focus on the SkyChain cargo application. The role is responsible for validating end-to-end cargo business processes through structured testing practices, ensuring that solutions meet business, operational, and regulatory requirements in a high-availability, enterprise airline environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Execute comprehensive functional, system, integration, and regression testing for the SkyChain cargo application and related systems.


  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data aligned with business and technical requirements.


  • Perform defect identification, logging, tracking, and retesting, ensuring clear documentation and traceability.


  • Actively participate in defect triage and resolution discussions with business users, IT teams, and external vendors.


  • Validate end-to-end airline cargo workflows, including booking, acceptance, shipment handling, tracking, and revenue-related processes.


  • Provide regular testing status reports, including progress, defect metrics, risks, and quality assessments to QA Leads and business stakeholders.


  • Support test automation activities where applicable and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.


  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, QA best practices, and enterprise governance standards within a mission-critical airline environment.


Required Skills & Experience


  • 3–5 years of hands-on QA experience, within airline or logistics domains.


  • Strong airline cargo systems knowledge is mandatory; prior experience with SkyChain is highly preferred.


  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes in large enterprise environments.


  • Proven experience in manual testing, with exposure to test automation tools and frameworks.


  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business, IT, and third-party vendors.


  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication for stakeholder reporting.


  • Experience working in large, high-transaction, operationally critical systems is essential.
