Black & Grey HR is partnering with one of the UAE’s established construction and infrastructure companies who are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between design and execution on client's diverse construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong contracting background and be proficient in using Revit to develop and manage technical drawings, ensuring that project designs are translated into accurate, build-able, and efficient solutions on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Design & Documentation:
- Develop, detail, and manage comprehensive technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation using Revit and other relevant software.
- Translate architectural and engineering designs into precise, practical technical packages for site execution.
- Coordinate with design consultants and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure design intent is maintained within project constraints.
Project Support & Coordination:
- Assist in the development of project plans, focusing on technical feasibility, construction methodologies, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Technical managers, project managers, site supervisors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth technical execution.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to verify that work is carried out according to technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Construction & Contracting Expertise:
- Leverage a solid background in contracting to provide practical construction solutions, value engineering, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Review and advise on material selection, construction techniques, and installation processes to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, and material approvals.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all technical deliverables comply with relevant local authorities' regulations, building codes, and company best practices.
- Identify and address any discrepancies between design documents and on-site conditions.
- Support the project team in conducting quality control inspections and snagging.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related construction field.
- 5-7 years of proven experience in a technical role, with a strong background in a construction contracting company (Structural).
- Must be highly proficient in Revit for creating detailed technical and construction drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD is also essential.
- Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and international/local building codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think practically and offer technically sound solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
