We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Group Technology & Digital Platforms Team in the capacity of Senior UX Designer.


Overview of the role
The Lead UX Designer is responsible for crafting a seamless and engaging user experience for our B2C mobile app, putting the user at the center of every design decision. This role is key to translating user needs and business goals into intuitive, impactful, and visually compelling interfaces. With the autonomy to make critical design decisions, the Lead UX Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our mobile app provides an exceptional, user-friendly experience that drives customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.


What you will do


Key Accountabilities


  • Lead UX Design Strategy: Define and implement UX design strategies that align with product goals, ensuring a cohesive user experience throughout the app.
  • Conduct User Research: Plan and execute user research activities, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and validate design concepts.
  • Translate Insights into Design: Use research insights to inform wireframes, user flows, and prototypes that prioritize a seamless, engaging, and accessible user experience.
  • Create High-Fidelity Prototypes: Develop and refine interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas to stakeholders and test with users.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to ensure UX alignment with product objectives, technical feasibility, and business requirements.
  • Mentor Junior Designers: Provide guidance, feedback, and support to junior UX designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing design team.
  • Establish UX Standards: Create and maintain UX/UI guidelines and standards to ensure a consistent and coherent user experience across all features.
  • Optimize for Usability: Continuously analyze user feedback and behavioral data to identify pain points and make iterative improvements to the app's usability and user experience.
  • Autonomous Decision-Making: Make critical design decisions independently, using user insights and design best practices to drive impactful solutions.
  • Stay Updated with UX Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in UX design, applying relevant insights to maintain a competitive, user-focused app experience.

Required skills to be successful

  • Interaction Design: Knowledge of interaction design principles, ensuring intuitive, smooth user experiences.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to interpret user analytics and research data to drive design improvements.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in design.
  • Agile Workflow: Experience working within an agile development environment.
  • Communication: Skilled at presenting design concepts and solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Innovative and resourceful in overcoming design challenges.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements and feedback, with a resilient approach to design iteration.

What equips you for the role


  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in UX design, specifically for mobile applications, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, or a related field
