Job Summary:

Our client is an American based curriculum school, and they offer a dynamic international learning environment in the beautiful emirate of Ras Al Khaimah with a strong commitment to inclusive education and student-centered learning, the school is an excellent choice for educators passionate about making a positive difference. SEN Teacher is responsible for supporting students with additional learning needs, both within the mainstream classroom and in targeted intervention settings. You will collaborate with class teachers, support staff, and families to ensure that all students access the curriculum and make progress.



Key Responsibilities:
    • Identify, assess and monitor students with learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional support needs.
    • Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individualized Support Plans for students.
    • Provide differentiated instruction, intervention and support in and outside of the classroom.
    • Co-teach and collaborate with class teachers and specialists to adapt lessons, resources and classroom environments.
    • Maintain an Inclusion Register and relevant records of provision, progress and outcomes.
    • Liaise with parents/carers, therapists, external agencies and other stakeholders to coordinate interventions and share updates.
    • Contribute to the design and delivery of professional development for colleagues on inclusive practice and special needs support.
    • Participate in meetings (e.g., support team meetings, parent-teacher meetings) and ensure effective communication with the school community.
    • Promote positive behaviour, independence and self-advocacy skills in students.
    • Support the school’s ethos of inclusion, high expectations and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in education, Special Education, or a related field.
    • Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent teaching qualification).
    • Formal training or postgraduate qualification in Inclusion/SEN or equivalent.
    • Proven track record of supporting students with additional needs in a mainstream school setting.
    • Excellent classroom management, differentiation and pedagogical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse international community.
    • Experience with international curricula (American / British / IB) is highly desirable.
