DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receives allocated duties & studies client documentation &Scope of Work.
• Creates drawings & documents register.
• Prepares specifications & datasheets
• Co-ordinates with the DOC.
• Prepares the PR.
• Undertakes technical evaluations.
• Site surveys.
• Reports on work progress.
• Man-hour estimates for bids.
• Prepares materials take offs.
• Input for planning package.
• Reviews “as built” drawings.
• Trains Entry Level Engineers.
• Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard.
Skills Required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably M. Sc. in Mechanical
• 8 year’s Engineering experience in the oil and gas industry preferably with an EPC Contractor in the field of:
• Upstream oil & gas design facilities, including: separation, oil, gas & water conditioning processes and associated equipments, preferably offshore.
• Ancillary facilities and equipment associated with oil and gas industry, preferably offshore.
• Supervisory potential.
• Planning and organising skills.
• Influencing skills.
• Thorough understanding of specific Engineering disciplines:
• Process;
• Instrumentation and control;
• Piping;
• Electrical
• Knowledge of Engineering software associated with rotating equipment sizing and office & planning tools.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Good technical knowledge and skills covering:
• Hydraulic processes and equipments
• Associated equipment (rotating & static);
• Thermodynamic processes, gas compression and conditioning);
• Stress, Strain and mechanical vibration analysis on oil & gas equipment;
• Lifting equipment used in oil & gas industry;
• Drivers and their characteristics;
• Good knowledge of up stream oil & gas applied processes, including separation, gas conditioning, water disposal, etc. equipment selection and integration.
• Good Communication skills.
