The project:
Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial workplaces and retail units along with a public realm.
Provides support to project and assistant engineers, ensuring works meet scope, quality, and compliance requirements. Carries out Mace validation checks alongside trade contractor inspections and supports the implementation of temporary works and safety procedures to maintain safe, consistent, and high‑quality site delivery.
You’ll be responsible for:
Conduct inspections of structural works to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and standards.
Verify materials against approved Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
Process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs).
Manage snagging and de-snagging activities to ensure project quality standards.
Comprehensive knowledge of UAE structural codes, regulations, and authority requirements (ADM, DMT, ADCD, etc.).
Familiarity with structural integrity checks and coordination with other disciplines during commissioning phases.
Understanding of Abu Dhabi authority pre-requisites and approval processes for structural works.
Identify and report deviations from approved drawings and specifications.
Manage inspection schedules and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation.
You’ll need to have:
Diploma or degree in civil/structural engineering with strong mixed use development experience.
Minimum five years’ UAE PMC or supervision consultancy experience.
Knowledge of construction methods, FIDIC Yellow Book and practical engineering application.
Proficient in MS Office and QA/QC tools; Arabic is an advantage.
