Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Ticketing IT Manager to lead and manage all technical aspects of ticketing systems for large-scale, high-profile events. The role focuses on ticketing platforms, system integrations, access control, data security, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting major international events and premium venues (e.g., Formula 1, major sports championships, world-class entertainment events), with strong coordination between IT, ticketing, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full ticketing technology ecosystem, including ticketing platforms, access control systems, scanners, CRM integrations, and reporting tools.
  • Lead the technical planning, configuration, testing, and deployment of ticketing systems for major events.
  • Manage integrations between ticketing platforms and third-party systems (payment gateways, CRM, marketing, accreditation, and venue systems).
  • Ensure system stability, scalability, and performance during high-volume ticket sales and event days.
  • Oversee access control operations, including gates, handheld scanners, turnstiles, and real-time monitoring.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for ticketing vendors and IT service providers.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and adherence to IT governance and cybersecurity standards.
  • Provide on-site technical support during live events and lead incident management and resolution.
  • Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, risk assessments, and post-event technical reports.
  • Lead and manage ticketing IT teams and external technical resources.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience in ticketing IT, event technology, or large-scale systems operations.
  • Proven experience supporting prestigious or high-attendance events (e.g., Formula 1, international sports events, large venues, exhibitions).
  • Strong hands-on experience with ticketing platforms, access control systems, and system integrations.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud-based systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
