Assistant Manager - Sales Training (Automotive)
Main Responsibilities:
Managing a number of associates plus external vendors, this role will have some budget control and ownership of training operations whereby the main purpose is to ensure that our Distributors and Dealers receive knowledge and skill training to enhance the experience of our Customers.
1. Responsible for planning, creating and delivery of Sales Training, including New Models
• The successful implementation, ongoing measurement and improvement of our e-guide system for Middle East Sales Operation Standards (MESOS), New Model sales guides and specific Sales Training content
• Assess sales teams across the region with online assessments and implement in-dealer sales gap training
• Design, develop and deliver Induction to Sales staff, including History, Philosophy
• Able to develop and deliver presentations to General Manager and above with clarity and convincing manner
• Design, develop and deliver “Selling Technologies†to all Sales staff in order to improve skill and knowledge to increase unit sales and exceed customer satisfaction
• Manage and organize, annually the 3S (Sales Service and Spare parts) contest and all associated activities
• To create training content which delivers excellent product knowledge to our dealer staff and Distributor trainers.
• To deliver face – face training for New models (Automobiles, Motorcycles and Power Products) to our Distributor Trainers and follow up of each countries training activities and report back to the General Manager
• Attend Sales Study meetings in the lead country and create training content to brief vendors for brochure creation, Marketing content and Point of Sale Materials
• Manage and execute Trainer qualification Program for all Distributors and increase Trainer knowledge and Skill
• Manage and execute various surveys across the reign in all 3 product divisions, and report back to the General Manger and top Management with recommendation on improving product sales and any weaknesses in the products, Sales processes or in the Distributor
 
Knowledge, skills and experience required (including competencies and attributes):
• Must be fluent in English and Arabic, including writing, as some translation function will form part of the job role
• Must be passionate about training and the automotive industry
• Must have some Technical knowledge and understanding of Automotive systems and Technologies
• Preferably 10 years’ experience of working within a complex business environment
• Influencing Skills at the highest level both within the company and external vendors
• Ability to organise, work under pressure and effectively prioritise in order to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to make sound business decisions.
• Highly proficient PC skills
• Excel, PowerPoint, Word and general PC high-level knowledge
• Knowledge of our Dealer and Distributor business
• Must be conscious of teamwork and the impact of decisions made on the rest of the team
• Must have a full Motorcycle license
• Must have knowledge of Motorcycle business and associated sales training, including New Models
• Proven record of process improvement including Sales processes
• Self-motivated, with strong human inter-personal and communications skills, and a passionate, proactive, can-do attitude
• Challenging mind set and responsiveness to customer requirements
• Industry experience or strong product interest are distinct advantages
• Sound organisational and prioritising ability
• High degree of alignment with company Philosophy
• Ability to undertake travel without restrictions
Degree/diploma in Mechanical/Automotive engineering from a reputable university would be preferred.
