MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To lead and manage the nursing team in the provision of patient-centric and evidence based nursing care, operational efficiency and positive patient experiences




KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  1. To provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team
  2. To ensure evidence based patient care practices are followed as per clinical standards
  3. To ensure positive patient experiences by developing employees and creating an environment that enables team engagement
  4. To manage allocated clinical and non-clinical resources in a cost efficient and effective manner to enhance safe patient care
  5. To monitor and manage compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards to ensure continuous quality improvement


REQUIRED EDUCATION

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing from a recognised/accredited Nursing Institute


Desired: Master of Science in Nursing or related Healthcare field




REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential: At least 3-5 years’ senior nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital


Desired: 5-10 years senior nursing experience




REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Demonstrate the ability to implement all five (5) stages of the Scientific Nursing Process (assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation)
  • Presentation Skills
  • UAE Labour Law
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Cost management principles
  • Demonstrate Nursing functional competence (Nursing practice)
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage meetings effectively
  • Quality management and governance standards and best practice
  • Risk management principles, systems and best practice
  • Skilled in the demonstration and assessment of all relevant clinical procedures
  • Stock control principles and management
  • UAE healthcare regulatory framework and related requirements
  • Workforce planning and scheduling
