About the team The Simcenter STAR-CCM+ development team is seeking a motivated individual for a 12-month internship to help improve our build system and static analysis infrastructure. There are a number of meaningful and exciting tasks suitable for a range of skills. You could work on the forever-relevant third-party library handling problem in C++, optimising cutting-edge static analysis tools, or refactoring vital build infrastructure. We will make sure you have fun and learn a lot. What you will be doing Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Writing and refactoring Python and/or CMake code to meet our exacting standards for quality and adaptability Making well-informed design decisions about large-scale infrastructure projects Responding quickly and effectively to bug reports Taking enthusiastic ownership of important infrastructure code What you will bring Proficiency in Python for developing reliable and maintainable solutions Experience using CMake to manage and build complex projects Strong experience with modern C++ (C++11 and beyond) Familiarity with Git-based version control workflows Good written and spoken English communication skills Degree or currently undergoing studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field Additional useful qualifications include Experience navigating large codebases Experience with any of: LLVM / Clang Clang-tidy Cross-compilation We are Siemens A collection of over 377,000 minds building the future, one day at a time in over 200 countries.
